Gordon as Author/Editor

Gordon engaged in a career in public relations and communications for 30 years before entering the ordained ministry. For 22 years he served on the corporate staff of the J.C. Penney Company as a communications manager overseeing a writing and editorial staff of 22.  He was the preferred speech writer for several company executives.

In the years since his corporate retirement, he has continued in his writing endeavors as an author-pastor and as a blogger. His writing has included several hundred sermons. His book–Charter of Christian Freedom, a study guide to the Letter to the Galatians–was published by Wipf & Stock in 2017. In recent years he has also ventured into poetry.

Since 2012, he has been writing a blog titled The Bible’s In My Blood published on the WordPress blog network. He bills the blog as Conversations With and About the Bible. The bulk of his readership comes from the English-speaking world, but he also draws international readers from 115 countries, including countries as varied as Russia, China, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
